business & pleasure”

location, cleanliness & friendly & able staff

my stay at the yuyang riverview hotel was a great experience, i was joined by a friend whose a resident of canada & she also enjoyed the time, when we 1st got into the hotel . we were greeted by the hotel staff that carried our luggage to the front desk upon check in, they also have more than enough elevators, which were spacious & fast, to suffice the occupants for quick access to their rooms, we were treated everyday to a sumptuous buffet breakfast that has an assortment of healthy oriental & western dishes, travelling is easy as the hotel is situated near 2 train stations (Dong zhimen & langmaqiao)buses & taxis are also easy to get, they also provide free maps for guests who wish to explore what beijing has, the nearest tourist destinations from the hotel would be tianamen square & forbidden city & if you wish to go shopping you can got to wangfujing & panjiayuan, it was a great experience for us & if ever opportunity arises i would definitely be looking forwrd to another stay in the hotel.

Brilliant!”

Tranquil bar area, staff were extremely attentive, quality of the room.
Fitness facilities, no gym to work-out in. Just a couple of running machines (personal requirement only tho), bar prices (typical for hotel tho)

This place was all I wanted. I stayed here for 3 weeks over christmas and not once did I tire of it.The hotel room I stayed in was called Superior which is in fact the lowest option. However, it was superior! underfloor heating in the bathroom, massive bed, flat panel tv, all fixtures and fittings to a high standard. They even thought of the minor details such as free toothbrushes, condoms! sewing kit, shoe shine cloths, dressing gowns, slippers. It was all there. The staff could not be any more helpful either, they were always at hand to help and went out of their way on numerous occasions for me. The internet access in the rooms was advertised as approx £5 for an hour and £8 for the day but when I requested the code at reception, they gave to me completely free! The bar area was very relaxing also with a central area surrounded by water where musicians play non-intrusive background music using traditional instruments. I think you can tell I liked it :-) The location wasn't too bad either, as with all cities everything is spread out, but there was plenty near by including mini market and restaurants. A taxi was always at hand which could take you to the key points of interest for normally around £1-2. Underground is about a ten minute walk providing single journeys for 20p! Hope this helps

It is very good value for money, and it is very well located. If you the road in front, you will be heading to the nearest subway. I normally walked use the road at the back, where there are many night spots, and into another main road that has a bus stop. From here you can visit most of the main attractions of Beijing. Good location. Fair price

good location and price is fair in beijing standards. typical ex sovereign but now private hotel. rooms are remodeled within the last decade, so not terribly old but also not properly maintained. nothing is broken but many things are not in mint condition. i have stayed here quite a few times for its location. an unfortunate event of a lost package happened this time i stayed, and i must say it is not the hotel's fault. however, the way the manger on duty handled it was simply unacceptable and i am done with this hotel. all in all, still one of cheapest hotels with acceptable rooms around this area. but if wangfujing is also an option, inner mongolia grand hotel will prob give a much better experience in the same price range

yuyang hotel Beijing”

Nice rooms and choice of restaurants Very good massage Courteous concierge and front desk service Free internet in rooms Courtesy water bottles Quality of bath soaps and creams good. Nice to have a scale, hairdryer, bath robe and slippers. Excellent conference facilities and assistance - hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs.
The level of English of most staff is weak making communication difficult. Leisure centre needs improvement. Impersonal, and uninviting and staff speak very poor English. list of services offered poorly translated to the point of being incomprehensible at times. Smell of drains in the bedroom. Could do with an iron and board in the room. More choice of English speaking or foreign language channels on TV.

Located in the heart of the diplomatic area along the banks of the picturesque canal, it is in walking distance of some of the best restaurants in town. If you tire of its ten restaurants you can venture out and try steamed jaozi or boazi or Peking duck in the restaurants nearby. Tired after site-seeing or shopping, go downstairs and get the male masseur to give you a foot or chinese massage. Don't be put off by the look of the basement where the leisure centre is located, the masseur has an uncanny knack of finding the stress knots in your body and rubbing them out of you, before you retreat to the comfort of your room, run a bath and soak in the bubbles. Once you're done you can wrap yourself up in the luxurious bathrobe and sink your feet into the slippers. Another must at the Yu Yang are the fresh squeezed fruit juices at the cafe in the lobby. The only hard thing is communicating with the staff and understanding the poor translation of written services and menus.

Convenient location with relatively good service”

Close to most diplomatic missions/embassies and WHO

I liked this hotel for its friendly service and location for my business with WHO. Walking distance to shopping malls and groceries and restaurants, mostly Japanese. The only concern was that there was construction going on along the 'sandy river' around the hotel every day during my stay. Email access was not up to my expectation, quite slow and unstable. Not many choices if you want to dine in the hotel because only one restaurant is available besides a pub/bar that serves light meals and snacks.

A comfortable hotel”

The foyer areas are very pleasant.
Despite what they advertise don't assume that you will have internet access.

This is a very comfortable hotel and the room was well appointed. I felt that the room was a little on the small side compared with the pictures I viewed of the room before making the reservation. I checked out of this hotel early because, although they advertised free internet access, the hotel could not sort out how to give me access. As it was a business trip and I had to have 24 hour internet access I was forced to leave early. I had booked this hotel because of their promise of free internet.

Nice Hotel but difficult to get the taxi”

Nice Hotel, very nice room and very nice breakfast

They have a very nice room and good breakfast. The location is fine but difficult to get the taxi. This location is far from China International Exhibition Center about 15 mins by TAXI.

Hotel that care”

Felt very welcome

this is the first time that i've encounter in china that the front desk are much more polite. room was good enough for me 6 out of 10. business centre usage are chargeable or there is a min charge per person for drinks. swimming pool is 25m long, good for those who likes to exercise except it gets crowded as the pool is open to public and u get lots of kids taking lesson in there.

Fair”

Location, conditions of hotel, cleanliness

It was ok but staff does not speak english and is very hard to get somethings and communicate with them. They focus only in chinese travellers and food and everything is intended to them not to international travellers.
