Probably the best place in Town”
The Zuela Guesthouse and Restaurant is probably the best place to stay in Luang Namtha, it is very conveniently located in an small alley a few steps from the main road almost in front of the Night Market. It's location helps to keep it really quiet while still having a very good central location. The restaurant is very good, serving really generous breakfasts and good food at convenient prices, almost comparable to street food prices, but with a much better quality. The hamburger is a real western hamburger, which is not common in south-east Asia. The service by its owner could be rated easily rated number 1 on speed, attention and taking care of its customers. The place also offers the convenience of renting bikes and motorbikes. The rooms are spacious and confortable, but water pressure in the shower is very low (we have found this problem in other places in Asia).

Great all round”
My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights with the intention of trekking through Nam Ha jungle and had a wonderful stay. Brilliant location, central to town and everything you need but down a quiet ally. The hotel itself is stunning. Beautiful spacious room, extremely clean and well kept- fresh towels, bedding and toiletries were provided. We have been travelling for a month and stayed at numerous hotels and Zuela was by far the nicest and the bed was SO comfortable!! The restuarant did great food and it was a added bonus that breakfast was complimentary. The only thing I would suggest is that if you're a light sleeper (like me) remember to bring some earplugs as the chickens/cockrels like to start up very early (4am one morning!) but with a decent pair of earplugs it wasn't a problem at all. Remember warmer clothes as it gets colder in the morning and evenings. Would highly recommend this hotel to all, you won't be disappointed- what felt like luxury at a low cost!

Great value, good spot”
Near most of the trekking agencies, with a decent restaurant and comfortable rooms, Zuela is a good choice in Luang Namtha. Consider booking just your first night online. They have cheaper but nearly equivalent rooms that you can take once you arrive.

OK Place in Good Location”
Zuela is a straight out guesthouse down a small alley in the centre of Luang Namtha. The rooms are fine, the AC works and the hot water works. The guesthouse is rather quaint. The food is OK. Zuela also has bike rentals and tours available. The staff are pretty laid back and pretty informal. If you don't expect too much in terms of hotel type service, you'll be happy here.

Very good”
I paid three times as much through Agoda compared to what the walk-in price was so please beware! For the walk-in price the value for money of the guest house was excellent - very clean and comfortable and in a good location. Staff were quiet but I'm not sure if much English was spoken. The food at the restaurant is amazing and good value! My only complaint is about the laundry service which I made use of after a few days in the jungle - half of my clothes came back as smelly as they were before so not sure what happened there! But would still recommend the guesthouse and the restaurant is a great place to meet other travellers!

Zuela was pretty efficient all-round. Decent rooms (if hard beds) and good to have hot water available on the landing or from the kitchen for tea/coffee especially as the weather was rather chilly. Excellent breakfast choice and good restaurant. Pleasant staff. Set back from the main road in a central location so marginally more peaceful. We recommend.

Best in Town”
Admittedly, this is a pretty average hotel, but centrally located and seemingly the best in town, it's a taker! Plus, it is really all you need after or before a long hike in the forest, which is what most are in Luang Namtha for.

A good base for going out”
Large family room with 3 comfortable beds but rather dark, no heating in Winter and no TV. Emphasis on getting out and doing something active. Good restaurant attached to guesthouse and helpful manager who speaks good English.

Nice and comfortable stay”
Had just gotten back from a long jungle trek so the comforts of a nice large bed and hot water in Zuela was a relief. Room was slightly damp but that was expected.

The guesthouse was centrally located, down a lane opposite the night market, but was nevertheless quiet. We stayed in two different rooms. Both were rather dark (small windows) and the standard room was small and had no view. The deluxe room had a nice balcony but was quite expensive. The restaurant served reasonable food and had a good atmosphere. Overall, not fabulous but pleasant.

Excellent location, near night market, restaurants, tour companies but off the main road down a small alley. Great included breakfast and restaurant. Tour company offers a good variety of many treks and tours of the area. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Rooms are a good size and clean.

Room is fine...breakfast is good...location is excellent just opposite the Night Market of Laung Namtha town. It would be nice if the hotel have a place for evening drink!

Great place for pre trekking adventures”
Good Wi-Fi. The restaurant has great food. People running the place are awesome. I needed my jungle knife sharpened and had no stone with me. They took my knife, had it sharpened and returned it to me within 12 hours. Very very sharp too. Super!!!!

Dokchampa across street is nicer. Shower water at Zuela not good. Beds hard. Staff just ok. Restaurant and breakfast choices good here.
